ARCHITECT Dipl.-Ing. (FH) DENIS NAGEL After graduating with a diploma in architecture from the HAWK Hildesheim in 2005, Denis began - initially alongside a master's degree - his independent and freelance work for commercial and private clients and planning offices. The main focus of his work was the planning and implementation of projects for new buildings, refurbishments and modernisations, with a focus on office and hotel, nursery, wellness & swimming pool construction and detached houses. This activity was paused between 2006 and 2007 by a scholarship for a work in an English-speaking architecture & engineering firm in Malta. His upskill to a certified project manager in 2012 - but probably also his commercial apprenticeship - prompted him to focus increasingly on the economic aspects of project & portfolio management. With this goal in mind, Denis moved to Munich in June 2014 to take up an employed position in the field of property management & development with a focus on residential & commercial construction and reduced his self-employed work to part-time consulting for planning offices and commercial clients. From March 2015, he worked again - initially on a self-employed and later on an employed basis - in the greater Hanover area in the field of property management, building operations and project management & property development for office buildings with a Germany-wide area of operation. In addition to the development and management of maintenance and conversions/extensions of office areas, his core topics included the investigation of structural and technical sustainability and long-term effects of location and construction choices, workspace management (conversion conception) and energy-efficient refurbishments. In July 2021, he switched again to purely self-employed work as a consulting architect and project manager.
